Parable of the 12 Officers

an atheist take on canned / trite answers 

that Christians may give to suffering in the world.

(please don't take offense to the hyperbole)

FSM worked thru these arguments 

(which are cleverly devised thru the parables)

and wrestled thru the rebuttals.

However, it was a sobering exercise to recognize that 

there is a measure of faith & guidance from the Spirit

to truly open our eyes to trust in God & a perspective that is Infinite, 

compared to our Finite perspective / reason / logic and answers... 

We do believe that we should have a healthy and rational response 

to the hard questions, but that our responses should be seasoned 

with lots of grace and a humble confession of our limited understanding.

Which may or may not be sufficient for the sceptic,

but faithful to the witness of those who trust in Jesus,

who arbitrates on our behalf.
